Wet Weddings
The forthcoming week is reportedly going to be rainy as a result of monsoonal rains in North Queensland. That's why it always pays to check in advance the weather forecast for your special day. The Bureau of Meterology site has some information on short-range forecasts, but pay-tv providers with private weather channels can often provide forecasts of up to a month in advance.

Does Your Celebrant Know The Law?

I belong to a number of celebrant fora where the celebrancy community talk to each other. I am deeply concerned by the most basic of questions being asked by celebrants in these chat groups. Celebrants should not be registered by the Federal Government to perform marriages if they don't know the laws and regulations that govern our work in the community.

If you're still looking for a celebrant for your wedding, take the time to find out what your proposed celebrant knows about the legalities of marrying. The knowledge of some celebrants is nothing short of appalling. This is where mistakes happen and people get into trouble.
