I provide a professional celebrant service to my clients and will spend an average of 15-20 hours developing and delivering their ceremonies. The fees I charge are, I feel, appropriate compensation for the work that I do in providing unique, personal ceremonies. By way of comparison, the Registry Office charges $335 for the State-authorised 254-word, no-frills wedding on a Saturday in the CBD.

The average price for a professional celebrant in Brisbane ranges between $300 and $700, but price is no indication of quality, experience or professionalism. When all things are considered, the celebrant's fee is one of the lowest outlays that couples have in their whole wedding budget. Hire cars, floral bouquets, photographers, musicians, formal-wear hire and other ceremony elements all cost more than the celebrant, generally.

There will be times when I am required to undertake duties that are outside the normal realm of work for a celebrant. These include excess travel (for venues located some distance from home), parking in CBD or traffic-controlled areas or private parking stations, ordering registered marriage certificates for clients, etc. Accordingly, I have a range of additional fees and charges for these things. These may or may not apply to your ceremony as the case may be. Please ask me if any of these will apply to you when you make your enquiry and I can quote you the appropriate fee. I do feature a full list of fees and charges in response to enquiries about my services.

For insurance and risk management reasons, I do not provide any of the following items at ceremonies:

Signing Table and Chairs	For the Signing of the Marriage Register/Certificates
CD Player	For Processional, Signing and Recessional Music
Wedding Decor	Red Carpet, arch, floral decorations or theme items
Items for Ceremonial Rituals	Candles, Bubbles, Sand, Creatures for release etc
Costumes/special clothing	For fancy-dress or specially themed ceremonies
Orders of Service	Programs for distribution to guests at ceremonies
