I have been a celebrant since December 2003 and registered to perform marriages since September 2004. In the intervening years I have performed almost 300 weddings, over 100 funerals and dozens of other ceremonies including namings, commitments, reaffirmation of marriage vows and more. I have really enjoyed every moment of this journey.
In 2012 and beyond, the nature of my celebrant practice will change. I will conduct the ceremonies I already have booked to date, and from there will only conduct ceremonies for family and friends, or for past clients, or by special request.
This is not "goodbye" - it is as the French like to say - "adieu".
I would like to say a special thank you to the many hundreds of people who have invited me into their lives since 2003 to perform their ceremonies. It has indeed been a great honour.
My focus in the future will be on my book writing and training activities, the occasional ceremony, and of course, as always, my family.
